This week I bring you a coffee blog in a suitably bookish location- Exeter Library!
In the foyer of the Central Exeter library you will find the independent café, The Real Food Café.
Friendly and quick to serve the waiting customer, the light airy space is perfect for writers everywhere. Having said that, it is perfect for anyone who needs light to work, whether you are catching up on your homework, writing a shopping list, or just kicking back to read a book you've just borrowed from the adjoining library.
As you can see from this week's coffee cup picture, I was in editing mode while sipping my Americano (which was delicious). I have to confess, that I was probably crossing out as many words as I was leaving in. Some days it just goes like that. You sit and wonder how on earth you could possibly have considered the story you'd written to be any good- and out comes the Biro.
It can be a bit soul destroying sometimes- but it is always worth it in the end. On the whole, I enjoy the editing process. It's when you turn an idea into a real story. Putting flesh on the bones as it were. And what better place to do just that- surrounded by hundreds of successful books, just waiting to be borrowed by eager readers!
Happy coffee sipping,
