The Story of A Stone
We are very excited to have been asked by the National Trust to create a performance with people from the Wellington community to celebrate the laying of the first foundation of Wellington Monument. This will take place at the monument on the evening of Saturday, October 21
- 200 years to the day since the laying of the first stone.
If you (or your group) would like to be involved then please come along to Wellington Arts Centre on Sunday, Sept 17
at 2.00pm to find out more. We're looking for local actors, singers, musicians, makers, and anyone who'd like to be involved in this unique opportunity. It will be a short, fairly full-on rehearsal and production process run mostly on Sunday afternoons from mid-September and up to show day for:
Actors - to perform the piece
Musicians - to play the music (instruments need to be portable for obvious reasons)
Banner makers and bearers - to support the spectacle and performance
Chorus - to sing and get involved in the big moments
Anyone else who's up for it!
Any age or experience level welcome but please note that any young people up to 12yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
